2019 Variety list and NBS updates
What is new for 2019: We have made very good improvements in our genetics for 2019, especially in the areas of uniformity, bud density, and THC content. We believe these varieties are all-around some of the finest day neutral seeds you can purchase from any source. We will only be selling three THC-dominant varieties to commercial growers in 2019 – the best of our second generation offerings! Interested in growing hemp for CBD production? Check with us on current availability of day neutral CBD-only varieties.
Home growers: We have appreciated serving you the last few years and hope you have enjoyed growing our seeds. Unfortunately, due to difficulties in the retail marketplace, we have decided not to continue the retail portion of our business in 2019.
Commercial growers: OLCC producers please contact us directly to receive a commercial price list and growing information. Our day-neutral varieties are a great way to reduce cost of production, increase cash flow early in the season, and avoid bad weather in the fall. Under good conditions, autoflowers can allow multiple crops outdoors!
Oregon Star F1
Oregon Star has good uniformity, though a few plants are a bit taller and later than the majority. Good resin production and bud density, limited aroma. Can struggle with botrytis in wet conditions.
Maturity: 75 days from seeding
Terpenes: 1%: Myrcene (0.19%), α-Pinene, (0.15%), β-Caryophyllene (0.16%), Guaiol (0.1%)
Cloud Nine F1
Cloud Nine has excellent uniformity, with a few bushy plants. Can yield 30% more biomass than Oregon Star because of the later maturity, but it is leafier in the flower than Oregon Star, and less dense. Very nice fruity/pineapple aroma. Smoke reports indicate very pleasant balanced effects.
Maturity: 85 days
Terpenes: 1.6%: α-Terpinolene (0.39%), β-Caryophyllene (0.22%), Myrcene (0.17%), β-Ocimene (0.17%), α-Humulene (0.11%)
Solstice has good uniformity with some variation for height. Very good early vigor, with good resin and density, though the buds can become a bit overgrown/leafy at the end of the cycle. Somewhat more aroma than Oregon Star, and somewhat better botrytis tolerance.
Maturity: 75 days
Terpenes: 1%: β-Caryophyllene (0.2%), β-Ocimene (0.19%), Limonene (0.1%)
NBS CBD-1 is our first offering in the CBD market, produced under an Oregon hemp license. A very uniform variety, about 75 days to maturity, it will be most productive under higher planting densities due to a relatively small stature. CBD/THC content will vary with harvest method, but the highest CBD we have seen is 15% in post-harvest flower. CBD:THC ratio is 23:1 - Stock is limited!
